Many Rooms

David's travels

In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? John 14:2

As we close out on month five of the race its hard not to be amazed on how God has shown up every step of the way to which I just want to praise and thank him for. Being in the Philippines has been awesome, this month we have been partnering with an organization called Children’s Garden go and check out their website childrensgarden.ph They do some amazing work. CG is a home for street boys and now girls too from that ages 12-18 that come from rough backgrounds. Some of these boys are orphans who never really had a place to call home while others come from poor and broken families where they have been neglected and abused choosing rather to live on the streets then at home. Each boys story at CG is sad and heartbreaking but what the staff of CG have done and are continuing to do for these kids is truly inspiring. God has placed a vision on the staff’s hearts here to help those who can’t help themselves to give them a hope and a future to provide for them a home where they can be loved and taken care of. They feed them three times a day send them to school, so they can get a proper education all long teaching them about Jesus and what He did for them on the cross and that they have a Heavenly father who will never leave or forsaken them and with what great love He has loved them. Christian ethics are also a big part of what they teach the children also by imparting to them biblical truths on how a person is to conduct themselves and treat others around them. After being around these boys for some time I can honestly say they are some of the happiest group of young men I have ever met. By looking at them and being around them, you would have never guessed that they come from such broken backgrounds but what God is doing in their lives and hearts through the staff here nothing short of a miracle. God is good. We also have had the opportunities to go on many outreaches here too being that it is Christmas time and the Philippines is big on Christmas. Serving alongside the staff and the boys of CG throwing Christmas parties for kids and handing out care packages, food and gifts to families in churches and villages all around has been incredible. Seeing a child’s face light after receiving a gift is priceless and being able to share our testimonies and the free gift of life God has given us through Jesus Christ well isn’t that what this race is all about?

Thank you Jesus for filling my heart with such joy. And thank you all back home who support and continue to pray for my team and I as go about this journey May The Lord of all keep you and bless you through all that you do.
